The Janesville Jets are looking for families who may be interested in billeting for the 2018-2019 season.
The hockey club greatly values the billet families that host the Jets players when they are away from their homes during the hockey season. Becoming a billet family is a rewarding experience. Not only are you part of our team but you become a big part of our players lives and many of those relationships last long after the players are moving forward with their careers. Billet’s are invaluable to the Janesville Jets organization and we appreciate all of their hard work and dedication.
For more information please checkout the billeting information at www.janesvillejets.com/billeting or email email@example.com.
Welcome new board members! Here is a little bit about our new club President, Justin Wiskie.
Justin has been involved in JYH for the past 4 years as a coach at the Intro, 6U and 8U levels and most recently a new JYH Board member in 2020. Justin was born in Janesville and played in the JYH organization as a kid growing up. Justin has a life time of hockey experience as well as holding numerous board positions in other organizations. Justin has 3 players currently in the JYH program. His daughter Claire will be a first year squirt player, son Grant will be a second year 8U player and son Joe will be a second year 6U player. Justin’s philosophy is to develop hockey players not only on the ice but off the ice and to grow the JYH Community as a whole. Justin has worked on the Janesville Fire Department for 15 years and currently holds a rank of Lieutenant. Justin looks forward to working with players, coaches, and parents to find ways to give everyone the best experience possible. Justin would like to thank past and current JYH Board members for their time, effort, and dedication to JYH. Justin believes that kids should have fun playing hockey while also forming positive, lasting relationships with teammates and coaches. Justin believes in good sportsmanship for not only players but for parents and coaches. Some of Justin’s goals as President will be to improve on the progress made by past JYH Boards, work on recruiting new JYH members, develop good hockey coaches and to promote a new JYH Player Development Model, which the Hockey Development Director (HDD) has worked tirelessly on. Justin encourages players, parents, and coaches to reach out with any questions, comments or concerns. Justin and the Board will do their best to solve problems and answer questions as fair and as timely as possible.
