JYH News & Updates - February 18, 2026

Board Elections

It’s that time of year again! JYH is looking for committed members to join the Board of Directors. This year we have 6 open spots. It is a great opportunity to help grow and develop the program. A successful youth sports organization must have a strong board, and that is why JYH is looking for individuals that have no problem going above and beyond. All the open positions will serve a 3-year term.  

To apply to be a JYH Board member, you must submit a biography to the JYH Secretary. This bio should include your reasoning for wanting to be a Board member, some background information about yourself, statement of commitment, and a few pictures. These bios will be sent out to the membership and posted at the rink. Bios should be emailed to secretary@janesvilleyouthhockey.com by 5 p.m. on Friday, February 20, 2026. The election process will be done online the week of March 2-6, 2026. 

Try Hockey for Free - March 7, 10:30 a.m. to Noon

Help us spread the word about Try Hockey for Free on March 7 from 10:30 a.m. to Noon at the Woodman's Sports & Convention Center. A flyer is attached to share with your contacts.

Volunteer hours will be posted soon for the event.

Janesville Bluebirds Playoff Game - February 20

Come to the Woodman's Sports & Convention Center on Friday, February 20, at 7 p.m. to cheer on the Janesville Bluebirds Women's Hockey Team as they take on Baraboo for their first playoff game for the state tournament.

Try Lacrosse for Free - March 7

Our friends at the Janesville Lacrosse Club are hosting a Try Lacrosse for Free on March 7 from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Janesville Parker High School Fieldhouse. This event is for boys and girls, kindergarten through 8th grade. Equipment will be provided.
